Overview

CollectorCarList (“the Platform”) is a peer-to-peer classifieds marketplace for collector, classic, and enthusiast vehicles. By using this site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform.

What we are (and aren't)

We are a classifieds platform. We connect buyers and sellers but do not participate in, mediate, or guarantee any transaction. We are not a dealer, broker, auction house, escrow service, or financing provider. All transactions are between the buyer and seller directly.

Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. You must be at least 18 years old to use this platform. One account per person — no duplicate or fake accounts.

Listing rules

Listings must be for real vehicles that you own or are authorized to sell. All information in a listing must be accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge. You must disclose known defects, damage history, title issues, and modifications. Misleading or fraudulent listings will be removed and may result in account suspension.

The $5 listing fee is non-refundable. Listings remain active for 90 days from publication. We reserve the right to remove any listing that violates these terms or that we determine to be fraudulent, misleading, or inappropriate.

Prohibited content

You may not list stolen vehicles, vehicles with undisclosed liens, vehicles you do not have the right to sell, non-vehicle items, or any content that is illegal, fraudulent, or violates the rights of others. Spam, misleading descriptions, and stock photos presented as photos of the actual vehicle are not allowed.

Upvotes and community features

The upvote system is intended for genuine community engagement. Vote manipulation, including creating fake accounts to upvote listings, soliciting upvotes in exchange for compensation, or any other artificial inflation of votes is prohibited and may result in account suspension.

Intellectual property

You retain ownership of the content you post (photos, descriptions, etc.) but grant CollectorCarList a non-exclusive license to display, distribute, and promote your listings on the platform. The CollectorCarList name, logo, and design are our intellectual property.

Limitation of liability

CollectorCarList is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from transactions between buyers and sellers, the accuracy of listing information, or any other use of the platform. You use this service at your own risk. Always inspect a vehicle in person and verify all claims before purchasing.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance. We'll notify registered users of significant changes by email.
